Accommodation

I'd like to travel to Moscow, and because a hotel is expensive (and other reasons: mainly because Moscow is a difficult city, when one is alone), I'm looking for someone to give me accommodation, paying of course.

I'm from Switzerland. I know a little bit russian. Maybe you're interested. More details can be discussed via mail.

I suppose you should look for accomodation in a special company such as www.mian.ru, www.miel.ru. It's more expensive of course but it's more reliable. Also I know Moscow hotels aren't so expensive as you think. Good luck!

Yes, I know about hotels. There are several in reasonable price class, and near to a metro station. But thank you for mentioning it. However, I feel in a country like Russia, and a city like Moscow, it makes sense to have a home in the evening, and a social group to live in. And food is ready. That is the reason, why a private accommodation is better for me, even for a stay of 8 or 9 days.

Also I want to remark in Russia the owner want to rent our their flats for the long term and they usually rent out a free flat. When are you coming? Would you prefer to live in a family or with just one landlord? How old are you? I also know an agency who rents out apartments for short term lease, but you'll be on your own in it, of course :-)

Скайла, агентсво называется Навигатор Тур, тел. 2656169. Я все утро туда звонила, чтобы узнать, есть ли у них еще квартиры (моя информация была годичной давности). Но их телефон не отвечает. В принципе, это стабильное агентство, наверное, что-то с телефонами. Девушка с которой я общалась именуется Татьяна Гаврилова. Еще есть Светлана там. Мы искали квартиру в центре, у них были где-то в районе Бауманской. Стоило где-то от 40 до 60 долларов в день.

Кстати... Вспомнила про вот такой сайт http://www.unclepasha.com/ Этот предприимчивый молодой человек не только сдает квартиры и обладает обширной агентурной сетью из желающий сдать свои квартиры или подселить к себе иностранца (при этом, как видно из сайта, аж вдоль транссибирской магистрали у него есть зацепки, не только в Москве), но и оказывает другие услуги, кажется даже экскурсии. Дисклеймер - сама я с ним не работала никогда, но запомнила на будущее. Надо его нашему Петеру подкинуть...

Посмотрела повнимательнее на сайт дяди паши. Пришла в полный восторг. Genuine Russian Dacha Experience! Russian Misery Tourism! Даже если в реальности это не так, как он описывает, все равно за идеи и попытку их воплощения, предприимчивость и разносторонность, а главное за то, что "встает в туфли" :-) иностранцев и продает им то, что русский просто не замечает, дядя паша заслуживает приз!

family - it does not really matter. It is easier when there are several adults to organize life support
rent- no, I'm out for homestay. rent=hotel
age - 55, mathematician, economist, unemployed.
language - I know some russian, enough to move alone in the streets of Moscow, whole day.
