По-эммигрантски для кого? для американцев? Я изучала не америк. англ, а брит., так что вполне могут быть разные мнения. в последнем предложении я пропустила for, sorry, акцентируя внимание на предлоге in перед searching. Скажу честно, сомневаюсь по поводу №16.

Это, вообще-то, и есть не вставайте. Типа, когда учитель входит в класс, то говорит: сидите, сидите, не вставайте. Может, вы имели ввиду dont's give up? Тогда это - не сдавайся, не отступай от намеченной цели.
